Academic
My coursework at Texas A&M University involved a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. I also obtained a Business Management Certificate offered to engineering students by the College of Engineering and the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. I also completed a Safety Engineering Certificate program, which is offered by the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center at Texas A&M University. The Dwight College of Engineering at Texas A&M is known for providing the education needed to ensure that its students are prepared for their next step in their life, whether it is the work force or graduate school. The courses are designed to help students develop a deep understanding of the material through group projects and assignments. I have provided a list of the courses required, as well as sample of special projects that I have completed.

Chemical Engineering
Chemistry and Mathematics have always been my passion. I chose Chemical Engineering as a career because it provides a mix of these two subjects. My first two years in college proved to me that this major was the right choice. I was not only good at my classes, but I also enjoyed them. Engineering classes have also given me the opportunity to interact and learn more about people, which is something I appreciate. My passion and interest for Mathematics and Chemistry have made my college experience more pleasant. However, I also like that we are required to take courses outside these two subjects. Classes such as Physics, Statics and Dynamics, Statistics, etc., further my knowledge and make me a more valuable candidate. As of now, my major interests in the field are polymers and plastics. I find these topics fascinating since they are involved in our daily lives. However, I am open to explore other fields.
Spanish
Although I am a native speaker, minoring in Spanish seemed a great option. I wanted to learn more about my language, so I could understand the linguistics behind it. A minor in Spanish has permitted me to take classes that have taught me more than I expected. I have not only strengthen my writing and communication skills, but I have also expanded my knowledge of the Spanish literature. I have developed the skills needed to analyze different pieces of writing. In several of these classes, I read classical works that allowed me to appreciate diversity. Through literature and presentations, I learned so much about the values, beliefs and traditions of other Latin cultures. These has made me more a tolerant and accepting person.
