Industry
My industry experience started during my college career in the Fall of 2013 through a Cooperative Education program offered by Texas A&M. A Co-Op allows students to take a semester "off" to work for a company and get real world exposure. Students are registered to a one hour course and are required to submit a report outlining their experiences and skills acquired. I spent my Co-Op term working for DNV, now called DNV GL, in Katy, Texas as an Associate Consultant. My next industry experience occurred in the Summer of 2014 when I interned with ConocoPhillips in Houston, Texas as an Environmental Engineer. After graduation, I joined ConocoPhillips full time as a Graduate Facilities Engineer under the Discipline Engineering Group. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay there for 10 months as I was laid off due to the low oil price environment in 2015.
