Safety Engineering Certificate - December 2014
The Safety Engineering Certificate prepares participants for positions in several areas of safety engineering. It is similar to a minor in the sense that students are required to complete 15 semester credit hours to earn a Safety Engineering Certificate. This certificate is administered through the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center at Texas A&M University. The Safety Engineering Certificate has been awarded to students every year since the Spring of 1994. The Safety Program coordinator reviews each student's course work prior to certification; both the coordinator and the Dean must then approve each student before the certificate is awarded.
